Inner city public transportation
In city environments, the benefits of the e-Traction system combined with TheWheel will easily maximalise. Several reasons:
In city areas, the driving cycle of transportation is very diverse. High torque is needed for quick acceleration. Driving time is often small and even more important, there is frequent braking due to traffic congestion and trafic lights. Fuel economy of conventional vehicles is very low, especially when vehicle weight is high.
Pollution is a very critical factor in densely populated areas. It is clear that vehicles must meet ever more stringent pollution restrictions. There is a certainty that within the near future, parts of cities will be closed completely to serve public interest on air quality.
e-Traction constantly designs products that are environmentally friendly and city transportation is one of our core capabilities. As an excellent example, our Whisper™`city bys has a GPS controlled diesel generator for area dependent driving operation, and the battery system enables driving without generator for extended time, keeping the city environment absolutly clean and emission free.
