CAN connection nodes

Digsy CCN (CAN Connection Node) is an I/O connection module to combine a CAN-bus system with decentralised components in mobile machinery for outdoor use. Each sensor or actor can be connected directly via three poles so that a separate terminal clamp inside the electrical cabinet is not necessary.

  • Types with 8I/8O (digital); 16I (digital) and 8I; 2O (analogue/PWM) are available CAN-bus with CANopen protocol
  • Water pressure-tight aluminium housing with Goretex filter*)
  • Power supply suitable for on-board voltage 8-32 V (load dump protection)
  • Operating temperature: -40 °C to +85 °C

Until recently, in every location in a vehicle where a sensor or actor was installed a switching box with connection distributor, multiple-pin socket and a wiring harness was required. Nowadays, Digsy CCN serves as a de-centralised connection group for sensors and actors or as a "subunit" version located directly at the connection location without an electrical cabinet. Apart from the lower price additional expenses are saved during installation due to:

  • Simple wiring
  • Terminal strips and strain relief clamps being unnecessary
  • Fast wiring with the help of spring-loaded strain relief clamps for mobile use**)
